sculpted bug chess prototypes I just recently finished moving into a new place under unfortunate circumstances so my art supplies aren't accessible since i had to pack so fast and just throw things in boxes, and I dint even remember which boxes have what, so these were made with dollar store "modeling clay" and a plastic butter knife ( i don't even have real cutlery yet :( ) these are not to scale!! it was just what ever size was most convenient to make them at. i think having physical copies (although rough) will help me greatly when it comes to modeling i did not include any of their thin details like antenna this is the knight the king the queen the bishop the rook the knight
Bug chess set idea my plans for the chess set involve the following pieces. the pawns will be my isopod guys (small, large in numbers, not very strong) the knight will be praying mantis (that's horse baybee) the bishop will be weevil (he goes to church) the rook will be a millipede curled around a tower (agile, still has the tower aspect) the queen will be a moth (emperor moth inspo, fluffy body and wings giving royal clothes vibes) and the king will be a beetle (Japanese rhino beetle inspo, "crown" from the horn")
