 plans for my project. i know what i would like to do for my bigger project, im just working on choosing my design and sorting out components of it.  my idea will feature both wood and acrylic. i will be making an imitation of stained glass in a wooden frame. i will cut out the acrylic to make the individual "glass" pieces from clear acrylic and color them after so i will have a wider range of colors than if i am to order colors. im thinking i would like to try etching a "wood grain" on the wood for the frame to add to the illusion of this being a nice "fancy" wood frame i am also considering making my glue seams noticeable when putting together the acrylic parts and coloring it dark to imitate the soldering seams that are part of the process of putting together a stained glass piece. here are some of the notes i have made while thinking about it

 Bug chess set idea my plans for the chess set involve the following pieces. the pawns will be my isopod guys (small, large in numbers, not very strong) the knight will be praying mantis (that's horse baybee) the bishop will be weevil (he goes to church) the rook will be a millipede curled around a tower (agile, still has the tower aspect) the queen will be a moth (emperor moth inspo, fluffy body and wings giving royal clothes vibes) and the king will be a beetle (Japanese rhino beetle inspo, "crown" from the horn")

shapes practice

 this is my progress on the shapes practice so far I had some troubles with the rectangle trim one something happened with my circles and it wouldnt let me select the parts i wanted for trimming then I had trouble with the cut lines not going through the things i wanted to trim so i extended them manually, i didnt understand that there was already an option for that. i also have not been able to make fillet work on the star exercise, and i havent figured out the array one either. i will watch some tutorials and try again. another issue i ran into is my laptop at home is too weak to run rhino, it just crashes over and over again. i was planning to come work on it at school some day between thursday and sunday but with the weather and the trains and buses not functioning and the altered building hours i wasnt able to come to the building. i know now my home computer will not suffice and i will have to fit in time for my homework at the school. luckily there shouldnt be any more polar...
